Vertical Alignment of text in text box
Ability to align text to the top/middle/bottom of the text box. I'm sure you've already got the horizontal alignment options covered in your checklist.

Yes, this is a vital feature. Vertical aligning to top, center or bottom is very important.

This feature is so important for repeat grids with varying text lengths - which is very common. All the XD examples that use repeat grid have equal length text fields for things like album titles and names, when this is not realistic.
Please add this basic text feature!!

Text alignment should work the same in XD as in programmes like inDesign and Illustrator

This is serious bug - font in XD does not rendering the same way as in the HTML code, this causes serious problems between design and development, especially in big banking services!!!

I can not understand why this feature has not been implemented...
And it is now for 3 years in the backlog. -

And bottom alignment!

I am trying XD for the first time while working with a client that cannot use Sketch files. Within the first 10 minutes, I noticed you can't vertically align text within an area. This is a dealbreaker, as many of my components rely on that.

AHEM. Not having this breaks repeat grids

I agree that this feature is key to accelerate the design.
For example, let's take a text inside a text box with font size 32px and line height 38px. In Adobe XD, the text is align to the top of the textbox. In html the text is by default vertically centered. In order to match my design in Adobe XD with the html, in Adobe XD I need to manually move down the text box by 0.5 * (38px - 32px) = 3px, to match with the html so it's really a pain.
Figma has this feature, where you can choose vertical alignment to bottom, center or top.

Has this been fixed yet?

How on earth does it take 2+ years to develop this feature?

Such a simple feature...if this doesn't get added, I'm going back to Sketch.

Not having this simple feature makes really difficult to design based on a 8 pt grid, for example. Even if we can resize the area text, the text itself doesn't get centered. It's really, really important to have this.
Having a field to the line height would be great also.

Whilst the repeat grid feature is great, it really falls down when I have to break it apart just to manually vertically centre text because the feature isn't available.

+1 is badly needed!

YES. This feature is fully supported by browsers via CSS styles now.
If AdobeXD would facilitate vert alignment for textboxes it would be a significant workflow improvement.
