Export to JPG (JPEG)

We often send clients JPGs to show them the design, would be good to be able to export individual/all artboards (like in illustrator).

We’re pleased to announce that JPG export is now available in the November release of Adobe XD. If you don’t see the update in the Creative Cloud desktop application, click on the three dots in the upper right hand corner of the application and select “Check for App Updates.” If you’re looking for improvements on this feature, please do file a new request!

    I forgot.... And exporting whole working area as a JPG would be also useable. Not that urgent, but one day certainly. It serves mainly as education tool, so we can show our dartboards positions in our blogs and tutorials.

    It will have multiple purposes
    - Quick and dirty sharing with team mates, to take notes and to be small
    - To hack and cut in photoshop for various purpose
    - Ultimate tool when something fails. We are used to be saved by dirty JPG export
    - JPG is much smaller than PNG. We use PNG only for assets, but almost never for collaboration.

    I was asked to send over some mockups for a portfolio. I wanted to export the artboards to png and them place them in a InDesign layout that I would then make into a 150 ppi pdf. The pngs from XD were so tiny and there's no option of making them bigger. My solution: exporting as SVG, open in Illustrator, replace missing images, export as PNG.

    It would be nice to have different exporting options. At least when it comes to file size.

    Hi Damian, working with some complex websites design, sometimes is useful to render a mid-low quality JPG to use as backgrounds for some CSS effects. I'm trying to switch from Fireworks to XD for my everyday job and "export as jpg" can be a really useful features.

    I would say "it depends" … If I have a design with fotos in it, then jpg will be better than png.
    What I really don't understand is, why "export to pdf" is important? you won't see it with 100% (original size) … so this makes it useless for me

    I agree with this one, and honestly, most clients I deal with want a jpeg sent to them if its anything digital. Even if its a ridiculous request and not that big of a deal to us, some clients are just stubborn and want a certain file type, or have size limits on their emails, and when sending off a bunch of jpegs, it adds up.

    Size. I'd like to hear what others think, but I usually choose JPG when I need to send or use the file elsewhere (like via email, or to a design spec) and the smaller file size is more important than image quality. (I am making the assumption that a JPEG option will either allow some control over compression, or provide a compression that results in a more compact file size than PNG32.) Sure, I can take the PNG and run it thru [insert image tool here] to get JPG, but really...?
