+1 on that line height! Lawd give me line height!

I came here to add to the line-height group (I knew there'd be one.) I can't switch over to any app that doesn't support this. (and I *really* want to)

@boti, you're assuming someone is using OS typefaces vs custom. Also, there's the web,where kerning often needs to be adjusted depending on whether there are multiple optical sizes (banner, display, text, caption, etc). Even then it's nice to fine-tune.

Pasting text in a text box is not working as expected. Can't resize the bounding box after pasting text. What I thought resizing the box is resizing the font size - yikes!

Text justification would be ace too!

Would like to have Open Sans and FontAwesome in one text box. Doesn't seem like I can.

Shortcut-wise, I was expecting to use Alt + arrow keys in XD for kerning/tracking and leading, but was surprised that nothing was happening.

Not to say the S- word in here, but if there’s one thing I hate about that program most is the awful tracking shortcuts. But at least they have typographic shortcuts. I don’t even care about OpenType support for now; just basic tracking, kerning, and leading with shortcuts would be an awesome start.

Allow more font options in sidebar. For example, all caps, justified etc.

When creating a type object I want to be able to create the type object but then be able to immediately manipulate that object without having to select another tool. Keep the tool selection to a minimum so we can focus on design.

Also would be great to

- Set text to all caps (this helps esp for tabular vs old style numbers)
- Underlining (for making links)
- Basic formatting like bullets

When you keep coding in mind, it is perfectly fine that seperate text-styles are handled as seperate items.

Line-heights are a must-have!

Is there (or will there be) a way to specify:
- leading,
- tracking,
- paragraph spacing
- baseline shift
- underlining
- character and paragraph styles…

These ar all crucial.

I really don't know, why you do not start working more with css values.. for example the kerning.. there is a kerning feature, but why don't you use letter-spacing values instead of the actual value? How should a developer know, which value I want to kern a text if I choose "200".. there is no translation to the implementation.

You also can't underline

It sounds more important than it is since you actually should not change those paradigms defined by the Mobile plattforms. There you should stay with the default text settings.
On the other hand it is definitely handy and nice to have the creative freedom.

I agree, I am really disappointed that I can't adjust line height. This seems like a very basic typographic feature. Interfaces are primarily typography. The type tools for XD need to be spot on.
