Hello everyone! I’m excited to announce that in XD 45 (released today 10/26), you will be able to import MP4 video into your XD designs.

To ensure platform compatibility and performance across desktop, web and mobile preview, your video must be:

MP4
H.264
AAC audio
under 15 MB
4K or under resolution.

Enjoy and we can’t wait to see what you create!

XD does not support Animated GIF, so if you are still looking for that, please start a separate request and vote on it.

    Support of video import is very necessary. Seems basic. It's why I'm stuck using other apps.

    Such a powerfull tool and doesn´t accept video and audio? Even Powerpoint has this feature... I know you can make it... C´mon guys... This way you make us feel like we have a Mars Exploration Rover with the solar panels covered in dust...

    90% of all my UX needs could be met in XD by supporting Animated gifs. I can't believe that it's been over a year and you still haven't added this. How hard could it be? Also, a gesture gif library would be additionally helpful. As it stands right now, I can't use XD for what I need.

    There is no support for inserting any GIF in the XD prototypes. It is helpful for getting a smoother screen transition.

    I know it's a question you will probably get a lot, but any word on whether this is on the roadmap for near future?
    In backlog since July 2016 is quite a long time.....
