When selecting text (via drag selection or double clicking a word), it will display the blue highlight boundary. There are some UI kits that use this blue as part of their wireframing palette making it impossible to see the text highlight when you have text on top of this color.
Ideally, the selection highlight should just invert the color underneath it so you can always see the boundary.1 vote
We currently reflect the system selection color, which you can configure and change through the operating system. If I read you correctly, you’d like for XD to ignore that and just invert from the current color?
When trying to align objects, object won't align to the same edge as something else, Example box and a line dont align for half pixel!
When will this issue be fixed? This same bug is found from Bugs section but it shows there that it is resolved even it is not!1 vote
Andrei has some questions for you in the comments.
We work sometimes on different resolution. And one design can be used for a lot of product. As AdobeXD are built with Design System in mind, it could be great to have the ability to modify the scale of an element when we want to export it.1 vote
Can you tell us a little more about what you’re looking for? We currently support multiple screen sizes when you export, either for local asset export or for sharing when you publish a design spec (e.g. 1x 2x 3x for iOS, 1x and 2x for web, etc.)
An extra feature for the keyboard triggers to be able to facilitate shortcut mode as well.
The feature would be able to set up 2-3 buttons as a trigger to show a new overlay or artboard. (example: Command+K, Command+Space bar or Command+Shift+E).1 vote
I just reviewed, and it looks like we support combination keyboard shortcuts already. There are some that the operating system will eat, though, so you might not be able to assign all of them. Are there specific keyboard shortcuts you can’t set?
When designing a banner for a youtube channel or facebook-site with cover image … I'd like to export my images in the right size, but the export from XD to JPG/PNG is poor (color-mistakes no attachment of color profiles) OR if Iäd like to make advanced work (filters/masks etc.) I don't like to rebuild my design in Photoshop. An export from XD to Photoshop 8with all layers) would be very helpful.1 vote
We already have an Edit in Photoshop… option for images. Are you looking at exporting vectors to Photoshop as well?
Sometimes I no longer use a component I have made, but it continues to show in my components list making it so long.
It would be great if we have an option to exclude these non used components. Or, maybe a tag / icon showing it.1 vote
Just to be clear, are you looking for hiding or removing unused components within a linked asset panel, as opposed to your local asset panel?
I am trying to design an app for this website https://silicophilic.com and trying to find the pin option. Any idea how can I get that done?1 vote
Hi there! I’m unsure what you’re asking about, as this is a product forum for Adobe XD, which is a design and prototyping app, not an application to create production code. Can you clarify what you’re looking for?
A comment history would be very helpful for the designer. A client might accidentally delete feedback and for the designer to have the capability to view any and all feedback (resolved/ deleted) would be helpful. That way it can be easily retrieved and the client will not have to worry about having to make those comments all over again. It would be a good safety, "backup" feature.1 vote
Thanks for your feedback. You can already view all of the comments that have been resolved and not on the prototype, but not the deleted. Just to be clear – are you looking at a timeline for comment activity? Or is it just to be able to see deleted comments?
When I have a component I would like to be able to add a shadow to the component. Currently there is only fill and border available.1 vote
Sherif has a response for you: Alan,
Today in XD, you could select any layer inside the component and add a shadow to it, and it render outside the component bounding box. Does that solve your use case? if not, could you please add more detail into what you’re trying to achieve.
Adobe team please add a features in Experience Design (Adobe XD) Colour Plate Because a same project we make many of file Like
There are many files not in one place so request is copy color plates features add in Adobe XD this is really help full1 vote
Have you tried the linked assets workflow, which enables you to link color palettes across documents? https://letsxd.com/videos/linked-assets
Move asn object to a "snap grid" then move to another "snap grid" then the object auto aligns to the behaviour and no the command. becoming more of a gesture to align. Zoomed out I could move an object to the boundaries of where I want it to align and it would centre to the snap boundaries.1 vote
Thanks for your feedback. I’m having trouble understanding this particular request – are you looking at something like square grids? https://helpx.adobe.com/xd/help/artboards-grids.html#grids
Need a tutorial on web exporting to clearly demonstrate how links need to be inserted in the files to ensure the project remains interactive once converted to html.1 vote
Thanks for your feedback. I’m a little confused about this; when you share a prototype, it has interactivity included. Could you please clarify?
When shared on the web, links do not support browser features like:
- Mousewheel click to open in new tab
- Copy link address
Links in general should support browser features you would expect to work on links.1 vote
Thanks for your feedback! I’m unclear about what you’re trying to accomplish. Can you please clarify?
I would like to see opacity value added to the component functionality, so that if I adjust the opacity in a master component, all the child components will have the same opacity value.1 vote
Thanks for your feedback! Have you tried grouping the contents of your master component (double click into the master component, Cmd+A) and changing the opacity of that?
It would be great to be able to create character style sets that can be used in e.g. UI kits and Design Specs for developers
Styleset for Desktop, Tablet and Mobile.1 vote
Have you tried using linked assets for character styles? https://letsxd.com/videos/linked-assets
Need to have components, objects, UI kits, etc written to support, Low-Fedelity wireframes. Reason for this is their the only ones that work well with Design lead workshops and ideation workshops.
This because the users don't get distracted and overwhelmed by details like in the high fidelity mode.
Currently use balsamiq for this, but XD should be a better alternative with this feature request implemented.1 vote
There’s actually already a wireframe kit you can use for both desktop and mobile – you can check it out here. https://www.adobe.com/products/xd/resources.html#panel-3 Are you looking for something different?
It would be extremely helpful to be able to share a voice prototype externally for testing using the Adobe XD app. Currently, when you share a prototype link, it automatically opens in a mobile browser which isn't ideal for testing an app experience.1 vote
Thanks for your feedback! Have you tried using “invite to document” to be able to share voice prototypes?
In certain scenarios, I would like to unlink my components from other files, eg. if i imported the wrong components.
Right now there seems to be no way of unlinking your components, other than creating a new file and manually delete the one you already have.1 vote
If you imported the wrong linked assets, you should be able to unlink by click on the dropdown and click the X next to the name of the document. Are you looking for something different?
Add functionality that Photoshop has to 'Relink to library graphic'1 vote
Thanks for your feedback! Are you looking at linking to the linked asset graphic, or are you looking at connecting to CC Libraries?
ADOBE XD v 22.214.171.124 does not preview to "Amazon Echo Show 5" properly. I keep getting black bars on either side of my layouts regardless of what size I set up my artboards. The internet says the Show 5 screen dimensions are 960x480, but XD won't do that. Any workarounds?1 vote
Have you tried creating a custom artboard? You can press A in Design Mode to create a new artboard (either draw or click and change the artboard), or set the Custom Artboard field in the Start screen.
- Don't see your idea?
