Resize on hover from center point instead of top-left corner
Can we have it that if hover state is bigger than default state, it will resize from center point.
I'm thinking of using cards components on my designs, and having them get bigger on hover. but to be honest with ya, having them resize from top-left corner on hover is weird AF.
I can't think of a scenario where resizing from top-left corner on hover is expected. but def. resizing from center point is the more used up case.
I'm in the same boat here - not sure if it works in the mac version but I'm using Windows 10 and the latest version of XD and it won't scale from the true center, only the top left (even when I use Option/Alt to enlarge the hover state). This might be a bug.

It does not work on PCs. However, here is a good work-around - add a transparent square as a background of your component and when you scale the main object you can then re-position the main object relative to the transparent background square so it is always centered.

Ok so apparently, if you resize individual element from the center using alt+shift (while keeping aspect ratio locked) and not on entire component. it allows to resize hover from center.
now its not explicitly stated, but it works as shown in this tweet

This would be extremely helpful and relates to a similar request to be able to edit the anchor/pivot point for an asset or component.
