Being able to save a file in the Cloud and at the same time locally

It would be great, if Xd could save a file in the cloud, and parallel also a copy of the same file locally.

If I work on sensitive projects, I am being asked to also have local copies of the file, in case something goes wrong in the cloud. It would really help, if I didn't had to do this manually.

Thanks for your feedback! I’m going to keep this open, but I wanted to let you know that your cloud docs (if opened from the machine) is cached locally.

I work a lot online but also offline, and I would like to have all the project I work on available on both Local Machine for offline work but as well on the Clout to make sure I can access them from anywhere. At the moment we have the Cloud Feature which is awesome for backup and file sharing. But if I work offline or can't connect to the cloud. I would like to see a copy of all my cloud files on my MacBook. Copies to be 1:1 Cloud with Local and they should be updated by date - the most recent overwrite the old one.

Currently I keep exporting and save local my files but is a mess with the files local being out of sync with what's on the cloud or what I did yesterday when I was working offline. I think it will help us a lot to be able to select a local folder where the Cloud save a copy of our files automatically, instead of us saving local after each change.

    Thanks
    Stefan

The fact that "local" and "cloud" files are 2 different files, and not just synced copies of each other at all times (like a dropbox/box/onedrive/etc... file is maddening. I should never be able to open a local file, make a bunch of changes, save it (still locally) and then realize that the cloud version is now not identical. Especially when I then can't overwrite a clud file at all. It can only write a new file with the same name and "(1)" appended. I cant even overwrite a shared prototype link with the local now, because it thinks its a whole new file. Now I have to go through all my teaam tools like Jira/Teams/TFS/etc and replace the links to prototypes everywhere AND then communicate to all stakeholders that they need to update thier bookmarks. And then I have to go back and manually delete any superflous files that will only confuse me and others if they were to remain. This is an insane workflow.

A functionality similar to Invision Sync would be awesome. Saving changes automatically in the cloud and syncing the file in the local folder. And everyone that is invited to the projects can also use the latest version of the file offline (shared local folder on mac). For me that's the most important thing to access shared files even when i'm offline.

When saving to the cloud for sharing purposes, you can create a link. If you copy that link and share it with colleagues and then save locally, make changes and then save to the cloud again, the previous link still exists, but the document will be treated as a new file. There has to be an option so that these two saving options work in together. It would be great to be able to save locally and save to the cloud and each time you save to the cloud the same link gets updated so there is no need to provide new links each time.

what does it mean cached locally? does that mean I can move those cached files into folders that I organised? But I totally agree here. There should not be such a hard cut between local and cloud documents, if you expanded your cloud files like one drive so you can say which files to sync local that would be the best solution. But yes I agree, syncing would be the best. Or a organised folder system in the cloud, which is also missing.

It'd be *amazing* if it worked like GDrive or Dropbox where there was literally a folder attached on my computer that is connected to the cloud. You could then ideally select whether to sync to the computer or not.

Agree with this - it's critical. I need to be able to back up the Cloud files locally on my hard drive. What happens when we're out of range of internet? We have no option but to copy the file to the hard drive manually, but then we end up with 2 files that are out of sync with one another.
