Open multiple documents at the same time
select more than one doc to open: i need to open multiple files, só i do this one by one!
You’ve been able to open multiple documents at the same time for quite some time now, so I’m closing this ticket. Thank you for your feedback!

How is this not a thing? Same thing regarding closing a document without closing XD itself.
I would like to avoid having multiple instances of applications cluttering my screen. As an example, in other Adobe Suite products, you can have multiple files opened within a tabbed environment, and have instance access to those documents, and if need be, you can rearrange your working environment to see docs side by side, etc..., or even pull them out of the root application. Besides cluttering up the screen, I can assume another instance of the app is a draining on resources. Most modern design apps allow multiple files to be open, as perhaps part of the same project. Say at the basic level I'd want to compare two artboards that exist in separate files.

Agreed. It's incredibly annoying to have to open several documents individually instead of all at once. I FREQUENTLY need to open several documents for editing at once and the current Document Open UI does not permit this functionality.
The whole process is even more difficult, since there is no organization or even search functionality to the Cloud Documents UI, so I end up scrolling through many documents to find the one I want. Wash. Rinse. Repeat. :(
