Control artboard order for shared prototype
I really think it would be much better to control the artboard order in the artboard section of the interface. A published prototype is viewed in the order of how artboards are placed in the workspace and the order goes from left to right and then top to bottom. I think regardless of their position the order should be arrange from the panel just like other adobe programs

We need control over the artboards in the published view:
1. the ability to organize artboards in the sections by flow
2. the ability to name a section (similar to Zeplin)
3. the ability to organize (tag) artboards in the section -

Huge issue with xd and sharing with clients. Without it, we have to create separate xd files, one for each specific flow because a "master" document is too complex for the client to navigate.

This is my #1 complaint about XD. I need control over the order of the artboards in the prototype.

XD Exports or Sharing (technical specification for example) keep the creation page order even if it's arranged after in the layer column (cmd Y). Therefore, artboards don't respect the good user flow presentation.

Consider this approach to a solution: sequence the shared prototype artboards according to the sequence of artboards in the Layers panel. Top to bottom in Layers maps to Left to Right in the shared prototype. The layers panel might be a good place to hide artboards from being viewed in the prototype.

I'd really like to see this feature implemented too. The layout of my artboards in Xd can be more of a 'mind-map' style that doesn't necessarily translate into the order I'd like to share with a client, and often my initial prototypes don't include hotspots for time-saving reasons.

It would be great if users could index the order in which screens are displayed in prototype view. I'm aware that placing the artboards in order from left to right top down is how they will be presented. However it's nice to group artboards in different ways. If I place all my artboards horizontally from left to right they can potentially be a mile across. Combine this will linking buttons to pages and it becomes a problem.

I totally support this. I think the order of artboards in the artboard section should be the same in the prototype which makes easy for everyone to navigate. The presentation will we a lot easy with this feature and the presenter won't look like a fool in front of the audience. I would really love if this feature is added ASAP.

Just adding to this.. I've had people on my team click thru a prototype using the nav arrows at the bottom and then get confused why the screens are out of order. I think the underlying (unspoken) expectation is that the art board order should follow the order in which they are referred to in the prototype. None-the-less, having a simple way to set the order of art boards manually may help with that issue. Additionally, it would make it easier to find and select a board from the Target dropdown when connecting.

Thank you for your feedback. Just to be clear, your suggestion is to order the artboards by the order they show up in the Layers panel. Is that correct?
