Groups for assets panel styles
Better organization or categorization for the Assets panel for colours, symbols and character styles. Tabs? Accordions?
I think he refers to the assets panel.
I'm also upvoting this. Just like it is in AI Library, where you can create groups of colors.
The problem with using the cc library in XD is that you cannot edit colors inside XD. or update all elements that are using the same library color
Therefore, using the XD color assets is just great, but when having like 100+ colors, it would be nice to be able to group them
All of my icons and generic components should be organized in the library - search, drag, and drop.
search field for library, one that you can actually search in, is a must.
* And please make the thumbnails smaller

We have our colors from different contexts defined, ex selection colors, background colors etc. Now when we have added them in the document, they come randomly and not organized. This makes the color usage vulnerable to mistakes & confusion. Please give us an option to separate out chosen DLS colors. Thank you :)
Could you add feature that would let you group colors?

Yes, the ability to group colors/swatches, so its easy to change the color of an asset. Lets say you have different shades of the same color. I did a quick mockup. This way your assets panel don't get overloaded with colors either.
PLEASE ADD CATEGORIES OR GROUPS TO ASSETS LIST.
Like Michael says below, when you have 200+ symbols it is very hard to navigate through.
If they could be collapsible that is a Bonus feature!!

We work in a large corporation with many different business units (products), so we have a very large icon library that needs to have categories. The categories help us break up the icons into different parts of technology, or platforms, or just types of actions- which also can be Consumer or Enterprise. So having categories is extremely helpful.
When you look at the way Figma sets up their Assets - they have done a fantastic job. We just want Adobe XD to have it too- and maybe even better! The way they do it is- Each Artboard name becomes the Section Name. That is the most elegant way to do it. Their Sections are arranged Alphabetical. But i challenge Adobe XD to do it better and make it Custom or Alphabetical. To make it have a custom arrangement in Figma, you can give each section a prefix like 01-Title, 02-Title, 03-Title, etc. This has been extremely useful.
Luckily, Adobe XD does have the ability to choose which Asset Source is showing and also to Narrow down the results with Search! So thanks for having that so far!Cant wait to see this get fixed!!!!!
As a user, I want to group and name design system assets so I can search and preview them better.
Scenario 1: I want to create separate groups under the Colors section for `Primary` colors and for the `Secondary` ones.
Scenario 2: I want to create separate groups under the Character styles for the `Headings`, `Paragraphs`, `Form labels`, etc..
Scenario 3: I want to create separate groups under the Components section for the `Buttons`, `Cards`, `Forms` etc.
Categorization is a must. If you have a lot of symbols in a project scrolling through 200+ symbols just to find a particular one you want is blood boiling
