Allow multiple people to share a link to the same published URL (multiple owners of a Prototype or Design Spec)
Collaborative work: Updating 'share link' of an .xd file not possible on another machine
System: macOS Sierra 10.12.6
XD-Version: 0.8.22.17 Beta
We are working with different people on the same .xd file. Updating the prototype link is only possible on the machine with wich the .xd file was created. The other people can only create new links.
- Create an .xd file
- Publish prototype
- Save the .xd file
- Open the same .xd file on another machine
- Updating the published prototype link not possible (only creation of new link)
We announced CC Spaces in XD today at Adobe MAX! In a space, all members will be able to publish a link. More details to come!

Can you at least acknowledge the situation Adobe or give an update. This is a major flaw to what could be a really good product

Please work on this, I know you have the devs and the technology to do it!
Add a tag into the editor name, or add a switch to enable the link attributes panel -

Multiple designers are working on cloud XD file. The file was created by a owner. Adobe XD allows only owner to update the prototype link. If owner is on leave, then it makes it difficult for other designers who worked on the cloud XD file to update the prototype link

Currently at least more than 2 members are working on the same file and it is kind of annoying when one of team members want to update and only the host can update the prototype link. I wish all the members can update or at least let the push the changes and host to accept the changes.

I thought Adobe WANTED us to collaborate with our team members. Never have I seen a more anti-collaborative defect. I still can't believe this hasn't been fixed.

I was sick and laying in bed, while a colleague of mine had to call me and beg me to update the prototype link in order to share the changes with the client. Such an elementary feature that definitely should not be missed!

Absolute must have. I'm really surprised that a fundamental feature request has been ignored for 4 years. Listen to your users Adobe.

Design team is complaining and mentioning Figma as an alternative.

it seems that it would be faster to move all designs to Figma than to wait for this feature.
Adobe, you're loosing your users. -

Oof. Big miss by XD once again.

Please prioritize this for the next release. Just had this conversation for the third time with our design team.
We can all co-edit but only one account can update/share the prototype? Duplicating the document is not a longterm solution for this. Options for document permissions would be ideal.
Thanks for listening. -

That particular missing feature is making us moving to Figma at some point. -

Currently only the owner of a cloud document is the only one who can publish a prototypes. We work in a team and have multiple flows and artboards going on for various projects, however only the owner can publish the updates so slows down our workflow.
Please have allows for team access levels on cloud documents that gives approved team members permission to also publish cloud prototypes.

this is basically a dealbreaker. if we make comments on an existing link, and the owner is on holiday for example, it’s not possible to update the existing link and keep the comments in this link, since its xd makes you create a new document.

Currently only the document owner is able to share or publish the work/libraries.
Thats a major single point of failure in a large multiple linked files project. Best would work if certain members of a file can be allowed to share or publish.
If the owner is out of office or leaves the company, no one can update the entire set of designs for developers or client. Is there currently any workaround?

Please is so annoying for everyone! I can't share link with the rest of the team unless I ask my boss to refresh the link!
