Freehand pen tool for tablet/pen/touch users (e.g. Wacom)

Description:
I am missing a freehand shape tool that allows me drawing sketches directly in XD (Like a pen on paper).
A freehand vector pencil tool like the one in illustrator would be perfect.

Value:
Currently I am drawing my sketches in Illustrator, copying them later into XD. Would be nice working without this workaround.

Thank you.

There should be a plugin or feature which can enable us to sketch or write on to the artboard like we do in "sketchbook pro" or real life.

I'm using my drawing tablet all the time and I would love to make scribbles and take notes directly in the document layouts.

I'm missing a feature like this every time I get feedback from colleagues and clients and need to resort to other programs/apps...

Perhaps it would be possible to select wether the sketch layers can be exported or not.

Yes! I miss the Feature "Brush" or "Pencil" like it is in Photoshop or elsewhere. The Idea is, in the very first phase of prototyping to use these tools. So, that you can create a "raw / rough" first Version of a prototype whithout carrying about colors, perfect shapes, etc.

It would be great if we can use brushes (with Tablets or graphictablets) to accelerate our prototyping process

    Hi.

I believe the new whiteboard plugin allows you to draw freehand

Having a pencil will make it so much better for Ui illustrations and masking complicated items in a cool way. Also wireframing would be taken to a whole new level.

A few years ago we would draw wireframes and design concepts, however with Xd I just use wirefrming components to create this now however the pen tool is not as free for creating ideas quickly.

    Massively underrated feature!

Drawing is design and Adobe should support it in their design programs. I would use this every day for low-fidelity wireframes and correction markings to communicate with developers faster and more efficiently.

I'm glad I found this request, I'm currently doing the same with XD and Illustrator and have been hunting for an alternate app that allows for a drawing feature in a program like XD. Would be killer for conceptualizing ideas, sketching, while performing iterative design all in one.

I posted this on another feature - but feel this request is more like what I imagine: (posted on: Collaborative features (drawing) on the shared prototype)

Im my experience many designers still start with paper and pen/pencil as the initial ideation method for designs. I for one am constantly looking for ways to collaborate across multiple designers (designer-types) from high-level concept, which is often very sketchy > moving into a more "wireframe" type experience which focuses on organization, structure and priority (there are often grayscale) > finally a more refined and styled look and feel.

I think we all recognize that these 3 steps (or more in some orgs) are converging - but I think it would be extremely useful (especially in larger organization) to have leadership able to quickly concept an idea, then pass it along to folks who will do the due diligence to make the prototype real for validation, or communication with non-design team members.

Adding in drawing objects would be a huge win.

This is a big one for me. It would be nice to not have Illustrator open and have to copy-paste between two apps. Even when I paste an Illustrator shape, it's pasted as a bitmap/non-editable. If I could sketch and modify shapes in XD, that would be nice.

I agree with this feature request. Ideas typically transition from a sketch, to wireframe, to mockup. Allowing us to directly sketch a concept into XD would be a time saver.

to create fast sketches with graphic tablets (wacom for example) will be great to draw directly on the artboards... we don't need special brushes or more
but a pencil or something to draw ideas fast ..the mouse with pen tool is a slow mode... the pencil will be more raw but usefull in turbo prototypes to explain something we wil design later.

I like to have pencil tool with straight and smooth options like on we had in Flash cc.
