Reverse artboard Z-order

This is a simple but yet an annoying issue. Right now, newly created artboards will stack upon each other, with the newest artboard appearing on the top. So for example if you create 5 artboards, they're nicely in order, from left to right in the viewfinder (1-5), but in the layer panel they're in the opposite order (5-1). Why is this good?

I understand that new layers should always appear on top but don't find this logic to apply for artboards. So if there would be a way to change that according to preference that would be great.

I second this request. Currently, we can either burn a whole bunch of time rearranging (sometimes hundreds) of layers, or have a mess of a layer panel.

Listen, we need new artboards to be created from top to bottom, as in new artboards are layered under the older one. UNDERSTAND?

    WHY?
When exporting these artboards, either pdf or just as images, they come out in the wrong order. This is especially annoying in the case of PDF's. I work with large scape projects and having to rearrange over a hundred bloody artboards in the Artboards Panel is annoying beyond reprieve.

This is such an out-dated model to begin with. New layers should not stack above the first one. It should be created underneath the one previously made. We're not building a cake here people. This is an interactive system and more often than not; the first artboard is the first point of interaction. Shocker, I know.

not sure if it's a bug of implementation or design -
when using alt+drag to duplicate an artboard, the new one is added on top of the first one in the artboards, thus appearing first on the exported PDF.
I'd assume that when building a flow, in 99% cases you duplicate your artboard in order to build the next step.
see AI behavior for the same scenario.
