Color Management (set color profiles)

XD should be a color managed application.

I'm not sure what the full context of color management is within the UI/UX industry is, or if it's something that many pay attention to, or if it's just left un-managed.
Currently a vast majority of designers are using high gamut displays to design. Our final output will however differ greatly without some proper color management implemented. If color managment is implemented, we can at least visually soft proof our design and colors to specific devices (ie: New iOS devices that support P3 color gamut), or older sRGB devices.
At the same time sRGB images used won't expand to the display's high color gamut, making them look over saturated.

(Currently using Windows Beta Version: 0.6.8.6)

Please fix this. Like others have said, it's difficult to even consider this as a design tool when it can't even meet the basic expectations of a design tool. Given the increasing competition, I find it hard to believe that it's taking so long to do this. Googling this problem brought up other posts from 2016.

Even using images from CC libraries results in the same colour profile problems.

Would be nice for a feature to respect images color profiles, embedded photos are way too oversaturated.

When this problem isn't settled, it's difficult to use XD as a design tool.
The color is too distant from the data made at Photoshop and Illustrator.

Please to add a color management option like at Ai or Ps! We use at work wide gamut Eizo monitors (professional graphic monitorfor many purposes) and all colors are to much saturate, it would be great to see colors at srgb.

Would you mind adding your vote to one of the preexisting requests? I think this might be the highest ranking one - https://adobexd.uservoice.com/forums/353007-adobe-xd-feature-requests/suggestions/17480899-color-managed-application . More votes, earlier it gets addressed. :)

    Colour management

Final designs will be included in design manuals. As such the pdf export from XD provides high quality vector assets. Missing hovever is embedded ICC data.

This means that for the unaware designer colours will shift when included in design manuals or other non sRGB contexts. This seem to be an oversight as the sRGB colour profile is embeded in png files exported for "design".

Working on a MacBook Pro with touchbar, I'm seeing huge color differences between Photoshop 2018 and Adobe XD 1.0. It has to do with the wide gamut display of the mac. On my older MacBook (Late 2013) I don't have the problem. Is there anyway to fix this?

Hi, i have the same trouble with saturated colors like this guy: https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2257773. Its absolutely frustrating! Is there a possibility to export without separated colors?

So XD currently uses device colorspace and exports as sRGB so you'll for sure see a shift. We're actively working on allowing you to work in a specific color space as well as export with or without a color profile and with or without colorspace conversion. We hear you loud and clear, thanks for the feedback!

Specs: Using the new 2016 MBP w/ LG Ultrafine 5k display (P3 color gamut). Was not having this problem with my old setup.

YES. This is the single biggest frustration I have with XD right now. Its fine on my small team because everyone expects it, but we often use mocks in company presentations (80+ people), and it's painful to not be presenting on-brand. This is also a huge issue with client work ("Why are my colors off?").

Agreed! I challenge anyone at Adobe to go use XD on a new Mac with the P3 wide color gamut and then export that file... Look at them side-by-side and you will easily see that XD is not usable to any designer with a new Mac or any other wide color gamut display. This forces me to use Photoshop, where I can set my workspace to sRGB. Adobe XD needs workspace color management like Photoshop!

    Absolutely agree!

Using XD became such a frustration with purchase of a new Mac... giving the fact that this is the app I spend most of my hours in designing UI which end up sooooo COLOR different after the export, and no easy fix or anything...

The design world is heavy with Mac Users. The new Macs use a P3 wide color gamut display. When designing in this unmanaged wide gamut color space using Adobe XD and then exporting your design, you will be shocked to see how bad your design looks because the sRGB export will look completely different from how you designed it in XD. This is not a problem in Photoshop because the user can set his/her workspace to sRGB. This feature is desperately needed on XD. I can't use XD on either of my new Macs because of this color space issue. Sketch also has this issue, so XD could easily "one up" Sketch here by including this feature, which would be greatly appreciated by anyone doing sRGB design work on a Mac with the P3 wide color gamut display.
