Eyedropper tool for the gradient panel
Allow users to use the eye dropper when in "gradient mode"
We’re pleased to announce that the ability to use the eyedropper to set gradient color stops is now available in the November release of Adobe XD. If you don’t see the update in the Creative Cloud desktop application, click on the three dots in the upper right hand corner of the application and select “Check for App Updates.” If you’re looking for improvements on this feature, please do file a new request!

Is the eyedropper tool for gradient really working? I just downloaded the program on my new macbook and it still doesnt eye drop the gradient! I even tried saving the gradient as a swatch and it doesn't change to a gradient look when I select it. =_="

Adobe I'm kind of done with all the fumbling the features. Honestly I don't know exactly what is going on behind the scenes but I get the impression that it is causing the product to fail. I'm already learning Figma and Framer because of the slowness of the Adobe XD team development cycle. There is literally features that are in development since 2016.

No it's not. You cannot use the eyedropper tool. It just changes back to a solid color. You are not correct that this has been added. This is still the #1 result on google when trying to figure out how to select colors in a gradient. Very, very poor design.

How about making the eye dropper work just like illustrator and indesign, pick up styles on fonts and colors and gradients on objects.

Is there any update on this? Under process or not considering at all? Much needed feature.

As a user who wants to base gradient points on existing images or colors, this would be a helpful feature. Current workaround is to create swatches based off eyedropper first, then use swatches in gradient creation panel. It's an added step that clutters up my swatches if the gradient is a one-off element.
