Better PDF export options - color profiles and presets

I would like to see the Illustrator export to PDF window, where you have presets and total control over the PDF creation.
Right now I had a day work, exported it as PDF pages and was terrified by the colors and quality. Had to redo all the work in Illustrator again...

So PDF export options and color profile choices.

I'd just like to add my voice to requests for this feature -- XD is becoming an increasingly important component of our internal workflow, and we need to be able to share high-resolution PDFs of various design iterations with clients, so they can zoom in and see very fine details.

The web sharing interface is too slow (and limited in its zoom capability) to allow this, which makes PDFs by far our best option.

Right now, XD downsamples images on PDF export, and images in the output PDFs lack details that are clearly there in the original XD document.

Yes please! It's a struggle to show clients proofs from Adobe XD files.

But till the last update the pdf was exported in the right way....
Mind to tell it to someone on the Dev side.

After the last update i exported a PDF that seems strange... the colors are not the same as the original xd project. it seems like the CMYK/RGB problems with a not correct export from photoshop.

Including the sRGB colour profile in exported pdf would take care of most color shift problems.

My biggest issue is the size of the PDF's created when compared to indesign etc as well as the colour profiles. I on average get XD PDF's of 100's of MB where an equivalent from a well established Adobe Application like indesign would be 10's.

Yes for a better display of pdf exports, that now thicken every line from my designs. It's not so bothering when I present to my team, but when it comes to client presentations, I have to export every artboard to png, then combine all in pdf in order to have reliable quality, and it's not even close to PDFx or high quality interactive pdf (inDesign)

Seems to be an issue that HEX codes aren't color managed and Acrobat defaults to SWOP (in N. America). It may be of interest to append a color profile to the PDF upon export, in order to force Acrobat to display as intended. (Not SWOP or print related).

When opening a PDF in Acrobat (exported from XD) some colors appear 'dull' and less vibrant than intended. CMYK and/or Spot colors are not used, since the colors are created within XD.

I've read that transparency and/or blend modes may cause a similar 'dulling' effect in a PDF. My file happens to have a bitmap above the color in question. Perhaps the way XD exports the bitmap (viewed as a clip group within Illustrator) within the PDF may account as a transparency?

This issue may be the same/similar to:

Agreed.. Color management is necessary regarding XD to Acrobat.
PDF Export should have options (as other CC apps)
    • Compression (downsample images, text, and line art)
    • Output (color, PDFX)
    • Fonts (embed options)
    • Security (password)
    • Compatibility
