Regular Polygon Tool (triangle, octagon, star, etc.)
The ability to create polygons, such as Triangles (most important), Pentagons, Stars, Hexagons.
I’m glad to announce that the polygon tool is now available with the XD 19 release. You can create a variety of shapes from triangles, pentagons to polygons with any number of sides, change corner radius or auto-animate the shapes in your prototypes. We also have plans to add the star shape in an upcoming update.
You can learn more about the polygon tool and our May release here: https://theblog.adobe.com/xd-may-2019-update-create-design-systems
Enjoy and let us know your feedback!
The star tool is missing …
Any word on adding Stars? Arrows?
I'm not seeing how this helps me make a star quickly. Can someone point me in a direction for making quick 5 sided stars?
I literally go to sketch to do this, it take too long in XD
Arrowheads please. Spending more time than I need to due to the lack of this.
Need those shapes too without opening any other software to get those. Thanks.
Polygon tool with rounded corners, just like in Illustrator... One can dream....

Can there be more shape tools, like triangle, arrow, love etc?

I would like to request Adobe to add more shape control as same as Adobe Illustrator. I feel difficulty while making some shapes like star, polygon. Also, the stroke cap option is not available however we can import from Adobe Illustrator by direct Copy & Paste. One of the cool features of Adobe Illustrator is Increment-Decrement values by mouse wheel scroll is missing in XD.

I would like to see the ability to make a triangle. Why can I create a circle or rectangle from within XD, but to create a triangle I have to open up another program and copy/paste it in? I shouldn't have to open Illustrator to create a triangle.
For now, you can copy and paste a shape from Illustrator.

What I would die to see is the following:
1) Exporting option for Html & CSS, meaning you have to do some design features first. Have tags for heading as h1 to h5, paragraph as p, backquotes as bq, and classes and id that imho can be represented as layers with a bit more functionality and a few more for styling. Then we can export the code in one go saving a buttload of tine. Also it would render your other apps for code wuite redundant so you could put them on Xd.
2) More shapes, a triangle and a rectangle should be on the next update. Also graphs for rapid illustrations, and a little more pen flexibility.

We need something well beyond the available square and circle, in terms of shapes. Can we import the vector shapes library from photoshop?
Also, can we get the ability to add arrowheads to lines? For example, this can be very useful for markup in pointing out new edits or UI.

We really need flexibility with shapes. When you are designing you always need at least triangles.

It can either be a separate tool or selecting rectangle can provide an option in property panel to increase their sides to 5 or 6.
We need a tool that will allow us to create shapes like triangle, hexagon, octagon and etc.

Add Triangle and polygon ellipse to then tool bar

Please add a polygon because the shape is only rectangle and circle. Even at least triangle
Current Shape library is very restricting. Also it would be nice if we can have the ability to edit paths on these shapes (like to be able to cut off a part of the path; Masking feels a crude alternative for this purpose)
Existing shapes should be editable too. E.g. deleting one corner of a rectangle.
Currently shape editing feels heavily limited compared to other tools.
