Different color for XD's application icon (magenta is too similar to InDesign)
this feature is not very important but sometimes I'm getting confused with files. Indesign and XD have very similar icon/thumb color. How about changing it to something different? eg yellow – there is no yellow app in CC
With our launch in October, we introduced a new two-toned color icon with rounded corners, which should significantly differentiate it from InDesign. You can read more about the thought that went into this here: https://blog.prototypr.io/designing-adobes-evolving-brand-system-6d243992cedd

Why did you chose to have the Xd app icon color almost identical to the Id icon? It makes it very hard to differentiate when the two icons are side by side in the task bar on Windows. There are hundreds of other colors you could choose from.

me too, I have the same problem,
I always confuse XD with ID and open the wrong application from the application bar, since not hust the color, but also the letters inside the icon are similar.I would have seen better a yellow or green shade for the XD icon. but I love pink, and all others shades of colors are already taken, so what can we say?

Marketing/Branding: The XD icon looks so similar to the Indesign icon that I'm constantly opening the wrong application. Differentiating them would be very helpful.

...Fireworks is yellow. It's technically part of the first version of CC (which is CS6).
