Wacom Tablet issues on Mac

It is very easy to navigate the Xd interface with a magic mouse or touch pad however when I am working with my Wacom (which is often) I loose some of the functionality such as zooming and being able to move around the interface with a 'hand' tool option 'H' like in Illustrator and Photoshop. If one of the artboard falls off the screen/interface, I am unable to simply drag the view to accomodate the artboard. If I am using the Wacom I have to go to the magnification setting in the upper left hand of the interface which is cumbersome. Would it be possible to increase support for Wacom tablets? Thank you.

This is about issues on Mac. For issues with Wacom tablets on Windows, please see:

Please note that the Wacom tablet on Windows only is considered a pen experience, which is not yet supported on the canvas. You should be able to select the tools along the side and interact with XD in the property inspector. We’re working on that particular experience.

However, I’d like to keep this open to be able to talk about what specific issues Mac users are experiencing. Please do add these in the comments!

Thanks,

-Elaine

We’re looking into the text tool report with the Wacom tablet, but the zoom tool landed a couple of months ago. You should now be able to select it and marquee-zoom into a section. Please let us know if there are additional features you’re missing! If we don’t hear back, we’ll be closing this feature as complete.

To pan/scroll the viewport using the stylus (or mouse), you can hold down Space bar.

To zoom using stylus/mouse, I think the https://adobexd.uservoice.com/forums/353007/suggestions/12925947-zoom-tool feature request should help. The zoom tool is coming soon. You’ll be able to access it either via Space-Cmd or as a persistent tool (‘z’ key).

Please let us know if there is anything additional needed to improve the Wacom experience for you.

I find that I can't use my Intuos tablet with any of the tools in XD. I can't place or create rectangles, circles, lines, vectors from the pen tool, the type tool, nor can I create artboards/frames.

This is on the new Windows 10 version of XD.

Yes please! I usually only work with a Wacom tablet and this is a huge downside to the usability of such a cool program.

to add to this, the text box typing with Wacom pen doesn't work properly.

    STEPS WITH MOUSE
    1. create a text box
    2. remove hand from mouse, then start typing
    RESULT: text appears in box

    STEPS WITH WACOM PEN
    1. create a text box
    2. while pen is still in hand, lift up pen from wacom tablet to begin typing on keyboard
RESULT: text box disappears and is no longer active and no text appears
