Export to JPG (JPEG)

We often send clients JPGs to show them the design, would be good to be able to export individual/all artboards (like in illustrator).

We’re pleased to announce that JPG export is now available in the November release of Adobe XD. If you don’t see the update in the Creative Cloud desktop application, click on the three dots in the upper right hand corner of the application and select “Check for App Updates.” If you’re looking for improvements on this feature, please do file a new request!

Export to PDF is in our backlog. For JPG, isn’t PNG 32 enough for you guys? Just curious. If not, please explain why.

This is getting ridiculous. Yet another update which doesn't include the most utterly basic feature of any web development program. No, of any image editing or creative development tool anywhere.

Let me spell it out to you plainly: this thing is almost useless in the long run if we cannot export to JPG.

This is one of the main things slowing down the workflow.

When will this be addressed? It's pretty ludicrous that this wasn't one of the main features in a web-based program, and over a year on and still no sign of it? I am having to copy all the assets into Sketch (will I will certainly be using over XD in the future) to then export them again.

How is it possible that you still cannot export to JPG? It's 2017, It's honestly hard to believe we can rely on developers who don't understand what a necessity jpgs are for web design.

We need to be able to export JPG on in the XD instead of taking PNG and open it in Photoshop and export to it again to JPG file. If you're building this to support designing websites, some of the assets we need on the web is actually better as a JPG file because the size is smaller than PNG file.

The original request title is really only a secondary point as screenshots can be shared with clients today, whereas optimization for web is absolutely needed and cannot be done. Export bitmap images a JPG needs to come ASAP, with a quick follow-on with WEBP.

Please please allow jpg export for individual layers that are masked. Exporting to PNG for everything is not useful to manage file sizes. The PNGs are too large and double work masking in both photoshop and XD. If the goal is to make this tool great for designers and developers this is a must have.

Another update, another lack of jpg exporting. Developers need to reassess their feature priorities.

JPG is literally a (if not THE) standard of web based assets. When is this going to be possible?

I love that you can export assets in XD but it's almost useless without JPG export. The PNGs exported for everything are TOO BIG for a website, this is a program for WEB so I don't get why this isn't an option. You have to photoshop all your photos after the fact, so what's the point. Please move this up on your list!!!

Jpg as an export option is desperately needed. It's an essential for digital design. Without, I'll have to keep using Sketch.

Want JPG export that has size and quality controls similar to Photoshop and every other adobe program.

Just ran into a huge issue by not having export as JPG. I created my work in XD and the client required JPGs. That gave me two options:
1.) Rebuild in a different program
2.) save as SVg and import to illustrator and then fix all the masks and repeat grid elements to display properly.

JPG compresses smaller files than PNG (about 5x). It's pretty important for development to get the smallest files possible for the web. If there's no option to export photo images as jpg's directly from XD, there's no point in our designers using it as the base program for our design.

Developers need individual assets exported as JPGs (in addition to PNGs and SVGs as is currently offered). JPGs are essential to building websites. I'm not sure why this isn't a feature yet.

Definitely need export to jpg!! Am using XD to design both web projects and email campaigns that have multiple touchpoints. Unfortunately, email doesn't really like png.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE add export to JPG as an option.

Agreed, the export feature is very lacking compared to someone coming from Fireworks which is a workhorse in that it allows all image formats such as gif, jpg, png 8 bit, transparent png, etc.

Also Sketch, which Xd was created to compete with since people weren't going from Fireworks to Photoshop but rather Fireworks to Sketch.

Use fireworks daily, for quick graphics that are a blend between pixel and vector, which is why fireworks is amazing since photoshop focuses on pixels mostly and illustrator focuses on vectors. Was hoping like Sketch, this would fall in between those to, but appears to be more of an illustrator like app than in between.

I just found out that export JPGs is a good feature to have because they show up much clearer on the iPad version of Behance. I use the iPad version of Behance to show off my work to clients in my portfolio. I use a retina iPad if this helps to recreate the issue. __ Thanks guys.
