The real need of the hour, dark theme and a ruler!

This NEEDS to happen. I love using this program! (Moved here from Sketch) and I LOVE it but it hurts my eyes. Pleeeeeease make a dark workspace option!

I thought this must be a setting but im surprised that its not, This app would be amazing if you could customize it a little, seems like itd be an easy feature to make usability much better in my opinion. the white is jarring. Really interesting app aside from just the look and feel criticism.

For macOS it would be better to support the native Dark & Light UI instead of these custom 4 step themes implemented by Adobe.

Its all to BRIGHT a workspace!! I cant work here ! can we have a dark workspace option!

Here here to previous comments as I've only just started to use XD and the biggest bug is the brightness ! Its like working in a over lit office!! I thought XD was a completely new way of doing things!! Was expecting XD team to realise this is not the best environment to work in!! Also as per last comment how many votes does it take to get an option button to switch to dark mode!! Its would take less than a few hours to include so shame as they are not reading this far down the big list of issues!

This feature has over 1,100 votes and counting, yet it's still in the backlog since 2016. Just from reading other comments it's clearly going to help a lot of people and keep it in line with other Adobe products. Why is there such a delay?

I am a colorblind designer. You may think that my request is silly, but I find it very difficult to distinguish a selected layer from one that is not in the layer panel. A darker interface or something I can customize would help me a lot!

Need dark mode now. What is taking so long??

User Experience begins with user research. The Adobe XD users have been asking for a dark mode since 2016. Which already exist in other Adobe products. Seems contrary that a product identified as a user experience design tool has not yet implemented a user requested item which directly impacts the experience of using the tool as detailed in numerous comments below. Just saying, seems odd.

PLEASE create a dark mode for XD to keep our eyes healthier. Especially now that EVERYTHING on my computer is in dark mode, when I open XD, it is causing me physical pain to use the product.
