Shouldn't this have been the FIRST feature for this product?!? Showing interaction flows, annotations and specs is a big deal. Now I have to do some hacky workaround to show my team :/

I completely agree with Ieva Neverdauskaite's comment June 01, 2018 14:47 and Rick van Amersfoort's suggestion.

Designers need a printable overview of the entire flow (ideally pdf). It's a basic requirement for interim presentations to clients (who are mostly not tech- savvy developers).
I can imagine that tons of designers are currently double their tasks in illustrator for presentation purposes as Ieva points out. This is crazy.
I'm currently looking into switching to XD and the lack of this basic functionality is really putting me off.
Please let me know if I've missed this feature. I'm just getting to grips with the program.

Design Specs is NOT ENOUGH! Hey, this feature of .pdf is soo needed! For now, I have to create a wireframe prototype in Adobe XD, export all screens, import them to Adobe Illustrator and then make connections myself to get a full resolution wireframe sheet map. While working with big corporations it is essential to prepare such kind of document. Big companies require such document for later development of an app. It's useful for planning development resources, back-end and other processes. It would be great if we could just export prototype as .pdf with all connections. Thank you guys!

I am surprised that this feature is not included?!? It is a no-brainer that this would be a fantastic asset to have as a UX designer.

NOT FIXED. Please read all the comments. Guys, please, lets interview more people. The User case here is very clear.

As a UX Designer, I want to be able to share the Full screen in a PDF/link/image, containing all the prototype flow lines and all other notes that are in or out of the artboards. So that I can use this software without feel that I should be using something else.

I was hoping that you could export it as some sort of PDF.
I don't want my clients to have to make an account on adobe to view these images, it blocks easy communication.

I don't feel like the heart of this issue was addressed with the "Design Specs" tools at all, since the request was to share the "full document" with the team.

The major problem with the design specs is that it only includes artboards, so anything on the pasteboard doesn't get published.

I like to use the pasteboard to type notes for the developers below each artboard and draw arrows between artboards to help indicate the flow from one screen (or state) to another. Without these helpers the design specs just look like a bunch of random screens with very little direction.

There are a couple ways you could help solve my problem... one is to include all elements on the pasteboard in the design specs, and another is to allow me to simply export my entire XD file to a PNG or PDF file (less any unused pasteboard margin of course for the sake of file size).

This not being available seems to be a rather crazy oversight. Adobe needs to hurry up before I go back to my trusty PS/InVision combo. One HAS to be able to export a complete pasteboard.

Actually extract the interaction from all the screens and export it as a standardly-formatted user flow document, with process, decision, terminal shapes, etc.

this also doesn't look as a big undertaking, an early stage wouldn't be much different from exporting what we already can see from our XD view, we just need a more clear wiring between artboards... please do that soon!

One year and nothing happened

The annotations and discussion as displayed in the comments area, we'd need to export these alongside the artboards in the same way you can comment within a PDF - this is required for our quality auditing and I'm sure would be important to other designers for traceable workings.

At least tell if you are going to support this, otherwise we will invest learning in another tool. Every time it updates I check if it can do that, exporting to HTML-CSS-JS, then PhoneGap. It would be KILLER!

I've moved away from using other prototyping features and this one whilst advanced is overly complicated and doesn't include some of the basic tools that would make prototyping easy! For example, when a page is scrolling down and you link it with interactions it doesn't make sense in the web preview that you are scrolling down viewing an actual page - it would also be super handy for an export of the whole storyboard to be available on one page not individual pages ...

Please take note of the section "Envisioning the Structure." Design pros are going to work with a structure view during the design process. Once again I say it's critical for this step to be integrated into Adobe XD. Please.

I work at a university teaching user experience under the communication design department. Me and my colleagues are very exited about Adobe Experience design and have started teaching it to the students. We feel the need for students to print out their interaction flows and the total of their artworks for example on a 90x60cm papers to be able to fully evaluate their work and progress when we do Juris and final exhibitions.
Our department is under Architecture and Design. The Architecture department keeps printing big visuals of their work and keep putting them on the walls. We as the communication department are also doing this sort of complex digital blueprints representing information architecture and etc. but can't represent them on paper. so we can't exhibit them. The faculty is allready having difficulty understanding what sort of work exactly we are doing because its a new sort of work line. I believe if we were to print and hang these interaction flows we would be much more respected and understood. Because it has a professional look and a mapping sort of feeling to see everything at one glance.
Plus this feature could be very useful to impress clients and discuss interaction assets and media on the table. Please include this feature in your next update, It will definitely help the product to be used more and known better in both education and work life of designers.
