Import Videos & Animated GIFs to show in interactive preview
Support to import a video or animated GIFs to simulate animations or even playable video.

Hello everyone! I’m excited to announce that in XD 45 (released today 10/26), you will be able to import MP4 video into your XD designs.
To ensure platform compatibility and performance across desktop, web and mobile preview, your video must be:
MP4
H.264
AAC audio
under 15 MB
4K or under resolution.
Enjoy and we can’t wait to see what you create!
XD does not support Animated GIF, so if you are still looking for that, please start a separate request and vote on it.

Honestly, how hard is it really to add animated gifs to Adobe XD? It's been YEARS that this software has been out and in development and still no possible way of showing something as simple as a loading icon gif. Just goes to show that Adobe doesn't care about its consumers anymore. It will be interesting to see if this too goes by the wayside like Muse after a few years of not updating/fixing the program or taking customer feedback to heart.

Is the government now running Adobe? Adobe PS is literally the go-to source for creating gifs, but over in the next line at the DMV (Adobe XD) they don't know what you're talking about or why they ever encouraged you to make one! I'm losing my mind and frankly the rest of you are being way too nice about this. Adobe XD is the only prototyping resource that offers easy voice rec. and playback, which I need to demonstrate my app's accessibility. 7 YEARS and 11k upvotes!!!! WTF!

Since we use Xd and this feature not support our work
always client ask for animated splash screen, and tell now we wait to update this on Xd.its very important.

Hello, please add this feature. I want to show gifs and video previews to my clients. I primarily use Adobe XD for rapid prototyping, and Photoshop for editing.

It is really annoying.
In the meanwhile you may checkout 2 of my workarounds. I attached a spinner as XD-file.
It might help in some cases but unfortunately workarounds are blocking other actions on artboard like autoanimations or keyevents -
