  1. This looks like it could eventually be a great competitor for Slack. However, critical to the design process are rulers and persistent guides, just like all other Adobe design products. This would seem like a first iteration feature. I couldn't really switch to XD until those crucial items are in place. Other than that, it's a very good start.

  2. When viewing a prototype in a browser (from a link) let's say we start off at a mobile size. Then when we click through to the desktop version can the viewport resize to the bounds of the art board dimensions please? The same would be in reverse: if you started off looking a desktop prototype and then clicked through to the mobile version, could the viewport resize to the art board bounds please?

It's a pain to have to keep resizing this when with clients or when looking at prototypes across various device sizes.

    Thanks

  3. Every time I import an image into XD, whether it's the same image over and over, or different images, the (x, y) location changes each and every time. Even if I have something selected, the image will still import to a random location.

I feel that items should import to (0, 0) so they can be found. This especially is needed for small images. However, there is also no indication of where (0, 0) is in the file, so some sort of grid or (0, 0) acknowledgement is needed in order for this to work properly.

    I have noticed that…

We’d like to see a single feature in each request in order to be able to best aggregate votes! We already have both of these requests in the database, so please upvote the following:

    Gradients: https://adobexd.uservoice.com/forums/353007-adobe-xd-feature-requests/suggestions/12925683-add-gradients-to-appearance-panel

    MIcrointeractions: https://adobexd.uservoice.com/forums/353007-adobe-xd-feature-requests/suggestions/12869229-animation-support-microinteractions

    Thanks!

  5. Think about it - Xd+Dw, Mu, Ps, etc. I am not talking about all in one (Although, that would be extremely awesome!). In Comp, we have the ability to "Send to InDesign." We should be able to, by the click of a button, send a project (with all layers editable) to other programs that have the ability build websites, UI's, etc.

  6. The model for layout programs is to use layout boxes that you import assets into whether text or pictures. This what makes layout programs like indesign so flexible and powerful.

Mask with shape is absolutely the wrong approach.

Adobe has had the worlds best layout and design program in indesign for more than a decade now. The XD team seriously need to start paying attention to how things are done in indesign if they want to create a great product. Just because XD is for the digital workspace does not mean that the principals of what make a great layout…

It’s really difficult for us to aggregate these multiple-feature requests. Please do file these as separate issues in UserVoice so that we can catch your vote!

BTW, the toggle between design and prototype is already in the product: Ctrl-Tab.

    Thanks!

  11. Is there a way I am able to recover comments on a prototype?
I was unaware that my team had placed comments on a website prototype and when I finished the final doc we realized the mistake?
Helppppppp, we would love to save hours going over this again.

  12. When I press SHIFT + right arrow key, the element is moved correctly by a big step. But the small step movement somehow does not work anymore... same for the left. Up and down arrows on the other hand move the element also correctly.

  13. This is a problem I have been reporting for years (Yes, years).
Randomly, and more often than not, when I attempt to Create a Link, to share my prototype (you know, sort of the point of XD), I get an error:

    Something went wrong.
    Learn More (Error 44:76)

    This happens no matter:
    • The size of a file
    • Number of Artboards
    • Complexity of the links between files
    • Number of and complexity of compounds
    • Whether compounds are local or linked
    • Behind a company firewall or not
In short: the feature is reliably unpredictable.

    System Specifications:
    MacBook…

  14. The components Hover State is improving with each XD update, but a feature that would be critical to me is the possibility to have asymmetrical hover timings.

    Example:
    - on mouse-in: 0s (instantaneous)
    - on mouse-out: 0.2s ease-out

Thanks! You can actually do this already by manually setting up the hover. I've recorded a GIF for you (attached) to show you how I did this with my component. Instead of setting up the component as a hover state, just add a new state and manually add the interaction. Hope that helps!

  19. When an artboard is duplicated, all of the lines and shapes should be duplicated with the artboard. There is a bug or what appears to be a bug in Version 55.2.12.2 where strokes that are components are not included when an artboard is duplicated. They must be manually selected and copied to the duplicate artboard.
