  1. It would be good to have a separate input field, where users can define exact pixel space between two objects by selecting them.

  2. Would love to have the ability to adjust the spacing before or after a paragraph as InDesign and Photoshop. Right now I can change the line height, but there needs to be another setting to adjust spacing between paragraph blocks.

  3. This is straight taken from my Sketch workflow. In Sketch, when you copy an artboard, the pastable asset is a raster version of your artboard. This allows to quickly paste a work in progress to a Trello card or Slack channel/conversation. This also negates having to export an asset for nothing, saving time and reducing project clutter in general.

  4. This one will presumably have to wait until the layers panel comes to fruition, but it'd be nice if there was a label/breadcrumb at the top of the screen that told us which group was selected/in isolation mode. Pretty much exactly like illustrator's isolation mode breadcrumb bar, or maybe even simplified (after all, simplicity seems to be what XD is all about!), using just the standard breadcrumb chevron instead of icons.

I think this would be nice because I keep forgetting, or not realizing that I'm in isolation mode, then I end up drawing or pasting objects in to that…

  5. Shift+Click allows to select multiple items.
Cmd+Click allows to select inside a group.
Cmd+Shift+Click would be nice if it selected items across different groups.

It's very useful to change details (i.e. color) across multiple items inside groups (i.e. icons).

    Thanks!

This feature is now available in the March release! If you don’t see an update, select the … icon in the Creative Cloud desktop app and select “Check for App Updates.” If you have further feedback on this feature, please feel free to file a new ticket!

  6. An UI kit for iPad, like there is for iPhone today.

  8. For better flow and clarity for the clients, to have artboards names visible at the top of every screen in the public views.

  9. You could just zoom out to select larger areas, but I think this is a usability issue. When zoomed in, in photoshop for example, you can drag a marquee selection off the window and it will scroll to follow the mouse. I would expect a similar action to take place here, as some mobile pages can get very long.

  10. When your XD file synces automatically to CC Cloud files it is in a unreadable format. Taking up space while unusable. Please fix this or just don't have them sync. I realize easier to share on another computer with XD on it but I don't think it should be the default to automatically share unless it shared as a JPEG at the very least.

  11. This may be small but takes a lot of time up: I switch between seeing the grid and not seeing a lot. In XD I have to click on the artboard name for the grid show/hide shortcut keys work. Would be awesome if these would work anywhere in design mode.

Now, you can marque select all the artboards you want, then use Cmd + ’ (apostrophe) to turn grids on and off. Please let us know if it doesn’t cover your needs. Thanks.

  12. I just noticed that sometimes its hard to find artboards, text, layers if you have a large prototype pages in your project. I think it would be nice to have a search function like the photoshop layers that has the ability to search through layers, styles, text, layer names and more. Maybe some "solo"(after effects feature) feature as well to show only the page that you are working on.

Closing this one as we’ve delivered search and filtering options for layers panel a while ago.

If you’re experiencing any issues with the current feature, please let us know in a comment or in a separate request.

  13. I have the need to change the color of the characters in a line of text. For example, there is a link in a paragraph. The link only should be blue.

Should be able to do alpha on the text characters also.

I see that we have size and font style, but color is the most practical of all these.

  14. In our development, the programmer needs to use the RGB value to label the color, but in this update, the version removed the RGB color information, we have to need for an additional conversion to get the results.

  15. It would be great if XD could have an Extension that works with Sketch and Photoshop to export Artboards to XD - like you would do with Zeplin or Proto.io

The ability to import the exported dartboards into XD with all the assets sliced, imported and placed in their original/correct position, all groups and layers are preserved just like they were in the original design app.

This would be a massive time saver and speed up our workflow hugely

    Hi everyone,

In our March release we’ve released the ability to open Photoshop & Sketch files in XD. After reading this thread, i think that feature is covering what was originally requested here.

Can you try it out and let me know if this is what you need?

    How it works:
You can bring your Photoshop or Sketch files into XD by simply opening a PSD or a .sketch file with the CMD-O command or by selecting “Open” from the “File” menu. Your file will automatically convert into a new XD file with your artboards, layers, and assets editable and at a high fidelity.

You can find more details about March release here:
    https://theblog.adobe.com/march-2018-update-adobe-xd/

    Let me know your feedback.

    Thanks,
    Dan

  16. And to be able to highlight link with different color. Now I create an 'invisible' hotspot on the wording but it's messy to move around these objects while formatting text. There might be an easier way?

Hi all! We just released an update to Adobe XD where you can now create hyperlinks within your text block. To do this:

    1) Select any piece of text in Design Mode.

    2) In the "Text" pane of the property inspector, add a URL to the link field.

    3) Commit w/ Enter

Your text will get an underline by default, but you can still change the styles. Preview your prototype, and your text should be a hyperlink. Clicking on the link will open a new browser tab with that link.

    Thanks for your feedback!

  17. Currently, Cmd-0 fits the entire XD set of Artboards into view. It would be nice that if an Artboard is selected, the same command will fit THAT Artboard into the view (similar to InDesign, where there are 2 commands, one for Fit All and one for Fit Page/Spread, but needing only one keyboard shortcut for both, purely dependent on what you have selected or not.

    Hi Everyone!

We’re excited to announce that with XD May release, you could now create a single source of truth for all your colors, character styles, and components in an XD cloud document and reuse all your assets in your XD documents.

With the linked assets feature, you can easily share and consume not only components — or what was formerly known as symbols — but colors and character styles as well. This is incredibly handy if you are sharing sticker sheet with your team or reuse design elements across projects.

Linked Assets complement the workflow of linked components. When you modify a linked asset in the source document, all the consuming documents with those linked assets receive update notifications. From there, you can choose preview and accept the updates.

To learn more about this feature check out:

Please give it a try and let us know what…

I’m happy to announce that starting today, with the latest update, Artboard Guides functionality is part of XD!

Creation is very simple, you can simply point to the top and left of any artboard, click and drag to create guides.

You can check how Guides work in a short video ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bnalFtR2KMA ) or check out Adobe XD’s help pages to see all the details of the feature (https://helpx.adobe.com/xd/help/artboards-grids.html#custom-artboard-guides).

    Happy designing!

  20. The full-screen feature is nice but I need to be able to show clients what my designs will look like at actual size on the web. The prototypes need to be displayed at the size they are designed at. This is the one feature that would justify me switching from using InVision for my prototyping.

You can now choose the zoom setting in the shared prototype. By setting it to 100%, you’ll be able to see the screen at the designed zoom level, regardless of the viewport. If you have additional feature requests, please feel free to file them as new tickets!
