  2. It would be great to go somewhere to view a fully up-to-date list of all keyboard shortcuts for XD. To be able to print out and learn en masse.

  3. Hi there,

The user should have the ability to see the mockup prototype on Browsers or other devices. This kind of feature would be an effective addition for desktop designers and mobile designers alike.

Nowadays, we are only able to preview on the a mobile device screen size, which is useless for desktop or even other device design.

    Thanks

Closing this issue due to inactivity on an open query. You can already preview a web artboard in full screen mode, which gives you as much real estate as you have on your screen. If there’s something specific you’re looking for, please do file a separate idea in the system!

  4. When exporting an artboard as a PNG, I expect that any areas that do not have a fill would be transparent. This isn't the case when I open the PNG file in Photoshop.

  5. I tried various keyboard shortcuts and looked in the top menu but to no avail - It would be nice to be able to switch between design and prototype modes at a press of a keyboard button instead of having to click.

You will be able to use CTRL + TAB. This functionality is completed now and will be available in our April 2016 public release. Thanks for your feedback.

  6. I'm constantly changing this in PS.. and the hex field is buried away inside XD

  7. Would be nice to be able to switch between landscape/portrait modes when you start a new design (or even while working on an existing design).

Now all templates start as portrait views and you can only mimic a landscape orientation by creating a custom size template.

  8. You can currently round corners of squares by clicking and dragging to your desired radius. I wish I could:
    1. only round certain corners (ie, only 2 not all 4)
    2. enter the exact radius I want (used to be able to do that easily in the right panel, but that option has disappeared)- would be beneficial for handing off files to developers

  9. It would be great to have a presentation mode like with InDesign for quickly viewing lots of artboards quickly!

As Peter mentioned, our full screen Preview can take over the entire screen and, as of 10.11, doesn’t leave a chrome around it. I believe this best mimics Presentation Mode in InDesign, so I’m closing this as completed.

  10. Copy & paste the same artboard style (with exactly the same items on it) to another artboard. Also copy & paste the same item with the same position to another artboard (cmd + alt + shift + v) as in InDesign.

If you select an artboard, copy and paste it, another artboard will be created with all the same contents.

If you copy an item from one artboard and copy it to another, the location of the item should match where it was copied from.

This is in our current update of XD as of this writing.

  12. Ability to import PSDs into XD projects. Right now we have to Open the PSD, then copy the assets from that new project into the XD project we're working on. It would be a major improvement in workflow if we could simply use the Import feature which is currently limited to JPGs, PNGs, GIFs and SVGs.

This would remove the 2 extra steps of 1) exporting the PSD into a PNG and 2) copying assets from opened PSD into current project.

    • I would like to have the option of selecting how the background behaves when an overlay is being presented. this is important as I feel currently I'm restricted for the most part to 'Dissolve Transition' as it is weird showing the background sliding when included in the overlay artboard itself

    • Additionally, combined with timed transitions, one can showcase notifications
      .

    • Lastly, the ability to select the option of whether the overlay is pinned on Viewport (current implementation) or Artboard (for dropdowns beyond screen cut-off)

  14. I would like to use a PC keyboard as a trigger to make prototypes of products using hardware switches.

By using USB devices you can use various switch parts.

  15. Hi, I can't believe how there's 0 sync with Illustrator. I design all my screens there as it is more useful than Xd tools but I can't export them to it. I tried SVG and PSD but didn't work as I wanted. Why isn't so simple as draggin the elements as I always do from Ai to Ps or viceversa? Please, this would be a really useful feature, hope you consider it.

In the most recent update to Adobe XD (released Oct 15, 2018), you can now open your Illustrator files from right inside XD and it will automatically convert into a new XD file, retaining artboards, layers, and editability.

  16. I think it would be a great improvement if the current 'mask with shape' feature also worked by using the default container of an image:

    1. Select image
    2. Shift + CMD + M
    3. Image is now masked within it's default container that you can edit

    Thanks!

    Note from Randy:

Starting with XD 9, images are already masked with a shape! No need to execute any command.

The shape is a Rectangle with same width and height as image. Double-click in the middle to edit size and position of image fill.

Double-click on border to convert rectangle to a path.

  17. The current UI for transitions is clunky and flows awkwardly. Every time I try to link to something lower on the page, the pop-up box appears below the 'fold'/screen and I have to move the artboard into view and re-click on the 'from' element to get the pop-up to appear. You've already trained the users to use the side-panel (right) to change elements in the design view, I think it makes sense to place the transitions in the same spot. It would greatly simplify the flow, as well as returning to edit transitions.

Mask with Shape already exists! You can access it using the context menu if you have two objects selected, or by pressing Shift+Ctrl+M.

Маска с формой уже существует! Вы можете получить доступ к нему, используя контекстное меню, если у вас есть два объекта, или нажав Shift + Ctrl + M.
