Ability to unlink component from source document without breaking component states
Currently a component is fully chained to the original document it was built in. No way of copying the component will unchain it from that source document unless the component is unlinked and rebuilt from the ground up. Given that early mock ups or sometimes separate documents are where an idea may be built then brought in later, this creates a chaotic hop around from source to source to source. As far as I know, there's no way to reliably drop all source elements into a single document after the thing has been built.

Transform using %
Transform %: select your object(s) > inside transform type in the percentage width/height you want and append % + enter. I use this in Pshop/Illust/prem etc all the time.
1 voteThanks for your feedback! I’ll leave this suggestion open, but you can already use mathematical expressions in width and height – you’ll just need to include the original value (156 * 0.5) for 50%, for instance.

move "deactivate font" at the bottom of the context menu
Hi,
Please move "Desactivate font" in the context menu of a font style to the bottom of the list.
I think the most used item is "modify" and it should be more practical if it was in first position1 vote -
Device Specific Layouts
I think it would make a lot of sense to have an option to toggle between device layouts/designs (Desktop, Tablet, Mobile).
Each one would have it's own Design/Prototype and Share Modes with each one having it's own Assets Panel, which could be synced between all of them, if the user wanted.
With this, we could personalize and greatly organize all the assets, styles, etc. into all the devices we wanted to design.
If the user didn't want to design for web/devices, it would have an option to define which type of design he/she wanted.

In documents assets have the ability to filter order typographies by size or type.

Make Library Elements NOT Duplicate When Used in Other Libraries
Finally having libraries is nice, but the organization is still difficult to maintain for larger organizations. I have my libraries split out based categories. It seems easier to keep the XD files smaller. I have components, typography, colors, and icons. I plan on breaking out components to be more specific.
The problem is if I apply a color to a component, or if I apply a color to a text style, then I have multiples of styles / components in the document where I'm using all of these libraries.

Merge different components, overriding one of the selected
Sometimes I start ending up having 2 different components that are doing the same thing, I would like to be able to merge both into one single component, making easier to keep track of all the main components.

selected object's name and type in property inspector
Could show a breadcrumb, or at least a name and a type of the currently selected object at the top of property inspector? You could always rely on the layer panel to find it out, but there are times when you really want to keep other panels open.

Once zoomed out, only allow selections of artboards
It would be reasonable to expect that under 5% zoom one would want to select (only) artboards and not objects.

Hide my activity from others collaborating on the layout
It would be amazing if you guys can manage to add an option that allows designers to hide their activity (while working) from other collaborators.

Put the tooltips above the mouse not under it please!
Can you please put the tooltips ABOVE above or above the mouse not under it! This is so annoying. Why would you put tooltips under the mouse so we can't read them? I'm old and my eyes are going and my mouse cursor is big so all the tooltips get placed under them.

Text styles to reflect breakpoints
If you're designing a responsive website the likelihood is you'll be looking at everything from 320px all the way up to 1500px.
If you could group text styles under a breakpoint and somehow assign that to an artboard size, so when you add text to that artboard it automatically knows what size it should be.
ie You have a 320 typography folder. You copy and paste the h1 from the 320 to the 1280 artboard it would automatically resize.
The alternative being you set up your typography separately, looking at breakpoints the same way some CMS do. Assigning H1-H6, Body…

The incompatible problem of chinese text underline
Why is the text underline function of xd always incompatible with Chinese characters? Do you think it is unnecessary to optimize for the Chinese? My version is 40.0.22.12 (Currently the latest).

Global layout grid for specific artboard sizes
Hello, I would find an option to assign a global grid super helpful. One could apply the values at the beginning and if they would like to change that grid in the future it could apply to all artboards of the same size. Right now, I have to manually go through and edit each grid if I want even the slightest change in values. I have found doing this takes a lot of time and effort.

Embed text so that it's not replaced by a fallback font
(Summary in English) If a font is not installed, we should show text as if it were installed, and only falling back if edited. The behavior of fonts should be the same as for Photoshop.

2 -sided shape faces for 3d transformed objects
I created a cube with basic shapes but when I rotate them the item in front seems to disappear giving the shape a hollow feeling.
I think if we give the options to enable 2 sided shapes then this can be avoided and create some really cool 3d shapes animations.
This will help us create complex 3d shapes in XD it self for e.g.cubes.

Apply hex color in clipboard to selected object
When I paste an hexadecimal color outside of a text zone, i expect the selected object to take the background color specified in the text, not to paste the text as raw text

Move the preview button away from notification area
On macOS, notifications come from right to left right below the menu bar on the top right. This means that whenever you get a notification, the preview button and the surrounding interactions are covered.
It's of course frustrating that you ever so often need to close notifications to interact with the preview button. And what's really frustrating is all those times when you are about to click on the preview button, but a notification suddenly gets inbetween and you accidentally open upp Messages, Calendar, Slack or any other app that you got a notification from instead of previewing your design.
