It's kind of mind blowing that this doesn't have more votes. This is one of the biggest caveats to working with XD for our team right now. Co-editing has been great and being able to collaborate in the same document is a huge boon. The problem occurs when the document owner isn't around to push an update. What happens if they go on vacation, are sick, or leave the company? The owner should be able to assign co-editors with various permissions to create or update links. Maybe the owner gets an email notification when a link is updated by someone else. This feels even more important now that there can be multiple flows in the same document.

My team isn't even able to create links if they aren't the owner of the file. This is a major issue for our team process as it's unrealistic for the file creator to give everyone a link. ***High priority for us

This is a huge blocker that makes the ability for multiple people to work on the same file basically useless. If multiple designers cannot update links for clients and developers, then multiple designers can't really work on the same files.

Please update this asap as I am having a big issue on this. A team member left and I am the one who needs to update the designs now but it is not bearable to update the backlog with all new links... I want to keep the same one and the current comments

This is so FRUSTRATING and really putting our team off XD. We're starting to look at other services purely based on this issue. It's really bad for productivity, especially given the current climate where our whole design agency is working from home. This needs to be a priority update for Adobe XD. All of our work is becoming so messy as if someone is off, then we need to copy the file to make a new link to update it for our clients.

Having real issues with this. We are working on a master component doc for our shared library / design system and I have to ask my colleague (who created the doc) every time I want to update the link.

Yes, my team is not able to update the share link which is causing major issues for productivity when we need our clients to approve the most recent version. So if the "owner" of the document is unavailable that day to update the link then the whole team is behind as well as the client.

This is such an issue. We will no longer be using XD after this project.

Right now, only one owner is allowed to create/update links. It would be great if the owner could assign co-owners to create and update a link. (Even a separate designation to create links would be better than just one owner). This would be incredibly useful for small teams or group projects where everyone is equally collaborating.

Also, this accounts for the fact that not all people in a team may have the same fonts downloaded. (An incorrect font appears in the user testing link if the owner themself doesn’t have the font). Right now, I have to copy my screens to another document to create a link with the desired font, which is inefficient if I’m continuously updating the document with a team.

If more people could create the link, this problem may be solved.

Yes please need this feature badly. My team & me work round the clock accross geographies and we need to push the design changes to the developers accross time zones. Team gets stuck for 12 hours waiting on a single person to publish the changes. Much much needed feature.

This is an absolute show stopped for a design team. We share links with clients and development teams. They are put in JIRA, emails, documents etc. When multiple people are working on the same project and the links to pages change becasue XD cant publish to the same link from a different Adobe Team user account it causes major problems. Need the ability for a team to work on the same file and publish to the same link as previously created.

Design teams absolutely need this feature, I just opened a file from one of my designers, assumed I would have the ability to update the file and push that to the existing share link... Turns out, I have to create a new share link if I want to push these changes out, which is VERY problematic, because on the existing share link we have a ton of open comments, as well as several other people referring back to that original share link. So now that I'm forced to create a new share link, all that contextual information will be lost, and I need to individually reach out to over 20 developers to let them know a link changed, and to please stop working from the old link and start working out of the new link.

This is by far one of our most requested features at work. We're multiple designing working with projects in team. If I start a project, then happen to be sick, on vacation or on my honeymoon my colleagues still need me to update the shared links. We don't like that.

yes, i definitely need this feature. it would be nice to even manage the permissions other users have, similar to Google Docs.

That's a really important feature for Agencies, where multiple designer can work on a same document !!! At Publicis we don't use XD that much because of this limitation... Please, this is a must have for Agencies !!!!!

This is a big impediment for our UX team. We can't keep links up to date for stakeholders.
