Line height: should function as it does on the web

On the web, i often use line height to determin the height of the types container. Therefore the text should sit vertically centrally to its line height. This is different to how line height works in print.
I also use line height for vertical rhythm. see more info on this here:

vertical rhythm is a huge factor when I design for web

    Crucial for emulating implementations where line height is used over padding to vertically situate text. Please implement!

    I use line height to place text centered verically in a button in css. This is not represented by XD well. Working from XD documents and building HTML pages needs to be made easy. Is XD not for the web or is it for print?

    Adobe XD is a mess. It's already 2019 and this bug, which is a very BASIC feature, is still not fixed!

    Please sort this out! I spend a lot of time trying to make pixel-perfect designs and this is the BIGGEST issue I have atm.

    Come on guys, this is way more important than some prototyping stuff or whatever. I want to switch to Adobe XD, but I can't setup a proper document with a 8pt grid without setting a simple line-height.
